Ohio rockers The Black Keys have announced their much-anticipated Irish return with a headline performance at 3Arena, Dublin on Friday, 3 May 2024.
The duo are set to hit the road in support of their upcoming LP Ohio Players, from which the band have already debuted three songs, most recently sharing album-opener 'This Is Nowhere'
Co-written by Beck, who also worked on the band’s recent single 'Beautiful People (Stay High),' the track fits the collaborative nature of the project, which sees the band work with various friends including Noel Gallagher, Greg Kurstin, Juicy J, Lil Noid, and others.

“We had this epiphany,” shared drummer Pat Carney upon the record's announcement in January .“‘We can call our friends to help us make music.’ It’s funny because we both write songs with other people – Dan all the time[as a solo artist and producer], me when I'm producing a record. That’s what we do.”
Guitarist and vocalist Dan Auerbach chimed in, saying, “No matter who we work with, it never feels like we're sacrificing who we are. It only feels like it adds some special flavor. We just expanded that palette with people we wanted to work with. We were there to support them and their ideas, to do whatever we could to see that moment flourish. But when it came time to finish the album, it was just Pat and me.”
Next week, The Black Keys will be at SXSW to premiere their new documentary This is a Film About The Black Keys. They will also be performing as part of two Easy Eye Sound showcases at Stubb’s and Mohawk. In addition, Auerbach and Carney will be partaking in a special keynote during the festival.
