Following the release of their chart-topping seventh studio album Time Stopped in 2022, The Coronas have announced this morning that they're set to return with a new LP, Thoughts & Observation on September 27.
To coincide with the announcement, the Irish three-piece have shared 'That’s Exactly What Love Is', a new single from the project. The track features English singer-songwriter – and friend and collaborator of the band – Gabrielle Aplin.
Written in Dingle, Co. Kerry, and recorded in Eastcote Studios in London with Grammy Award-winning producer George Murphy, Thoughts & Observations is described as a "powerful, melodic record which takes an incisive look at life, relationships and art."
As well as featuring band members Danny O’Reilly on vocals, piano and guitar, Graham Knox on bass and Conor Egan on drums, the LP also features the talents of The Coronas' touring supergroup – including Lar Kaye (All Tvvins) on guitar, Cian MacSweeney (True Tides) on saxophone and Róisín O on backing vocals.
“Every album we make is with a view to improving our live show,” comments Danny O’Reilly. “We still feel like we have something to say.”
