The Dublin band are the first act to be revealed for the October Bank Holiday festival.
Fómhair Festival is set to return to the Big Top in Gweedore, Co. Donegal this October Bank Holiday – with The Coronas now revealed as the headline act for Sunday, October 29.
The inaugural Fómhair Festival took place in 2021, and featured major names like Picture This, KNEECAP, John Gibbons and Welshy.
"With multiple chart-topping albums and countless hit singles under their belt, The Coronas are renowned for delivering high-energy shows that leave the crowd buzzing," the festival's organisers remarked online this morning. "Mark your calendars and get ready to sing along to their biggest hits, like 'Heroes or Ghosts', 'San Diego Song', and 'Addicted to Progress'..."
It's already been a busy summer for The Coronas, following major festival appearances, headline shows, and an opening slot for Bruce Springsteen at his Hyde Park, London gig. They released their latest album, the chart-topping Time Stopped, back in October.
"The Coronas approach each album as a complete creation, and Time Stopped is no exception," Jackie Hayden wrote in his eight-and-a-half star review of the album for Hot Press. "There’s a caring sense of decency in Danny O’Reilly’s voice; a sense of conviction in the songs; and it all hangs beautifully and positively together. A winner."
More acts for this year's Fómhair Festival are expected to be unveiled over the coming weeks.
