Following the release of their eighth studio album Thoughts & Observations, The Coronas have new music video to song ‘Hearts for Eyes’.
The band were influenced by singer songwriter Burt Bacharach for the track, following his death last year, "I decided to borrow a couple of his jazzy, lounge chords and write a very honest love song," said frontman Danny in a statement.
"That feeling of lying beside your other half as they fall asleep and you’re looking at them feeling tragically obsessed with everything about them, and there’s nothing you can do about it, it almost seems unfair. We had initially decided to keep it really simple, very stripped back, with just piano, vocal and a single trumpet, until someone had the idea to try the whole big band vibe on the back half of the song."
The music video was recorded live in The Set Theatre Kilkenny.
Currently touring their album Thoughts & Observations, the trio begin the US and Australian leg of their tour in November, before returning to Dublin to play five sold-out shows in December. You can check out their full list of gigs here.
