With their hotly anticipated sixth studio album, True Love Waits, just around the corner, The Coronas celebrate their remarkable journey so far as the cover stars of the new issue of Hot Press – hitting shelves on Thursday, July 16, and available to pre-order now.

In an in-depth interview, all three members of The Coronas reflect on what's been their most testing year yet, following the departure of guitarist Dave McPhillips, and the arrival of a name-stealing virus.

As they reveal in the interview, the trio wondered if this might indeed be the end of the line, following McPhillips' decision to leave the group.

“I was definitely thinking seriously about it,” singer Danny O'Reilly tells us. “When Dave first said it to me, I thought that maybe this was the beginning of the end, and that maybe we should talk about that. But then I spoke to Conor and Knoxy, and they saw the potential of this – as a new chapter."

Proving that they're more than willing to face up to any challenge, The Coronas bounced back – with a fresh new outlook; a boundary-pushing album True Love Waits out on July 31; and their desire to conquer the world undiminished.
