The mid-’90s band release their extended Best of The Corrs LP tomorrow, today sharing a cover from the record of ‘Songbird’ by Fleetwood Mac’s Christine McVie, on the one year anniversary of her passing.
The Corrs have paid tribute to Fleetwood Mac’s Christine McVie on the anniversary of her death, today, November 30. The sibling band, made up of Andrea, Sharon, Caroline and Jim, announced the release of their stunning ‘Songbird’ cover in honour of the late singer-songwriter and pianist via X/Twitter.
The Corrs wrote in the post, “Our version of Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Songbird’ is released today to honour the legendary Christine McVie,” alongside a visualiser to accompany the cover.
‘Songbird,’ written by McVie, is widely considered one of the top songs from the legendary rock band throughout their decades-long discography. Today marks one year since the heart-shattering passing of the Fleetwood Mac vocalist and pianist, who sadly passed away last year, aged 79, after a brief illness and a stroke.
