The Darkness will play Permission to Land in full on December 3rd to celebrate the album's 20th anniversary.
UK glam rockers The Darkness are coming to the 3Olympia Theatre in December as part of their 20th anniversary tour.
Their debut album, Permission to Land, was released in 2003, where it immediately reached number two on the UK albums chart. The album netted the band multiple Brit Awards in 2004, including Best British Album, Best British Group, and Best British Rock Act.
The Darkness will perform the album in full at each tour date, along with newer tracks and some old fan favourites.
“When Permission to Land landed, twenty short years ago, we were bathed in shock and awe," said lead singer Justin Hawkins. "As if by magic, Rock wasn’t dead! Fun wasn’t banned! And Spandex was almost acceptable again... Well, guess what? Twenty years on, the same rules apply."

The Darkness has been in high demand of late, supporting Guns N' Roses at their BST Hyde Park show last Friday along with The Pretenders.
The Darkness will tour throughout Ireland and the UK, launching in Belfast on December 2nd and coming to 3Olympia the day after. Tickets are on sale Friday July 7th from €44.
Hawkins warns fans to expect a roaring good time: "Please to squeeze yourselves into those inappropriate leggings, back-comb your mullet, splash on a big handful of attitude, and come celebrate with us! We promise everything and we deliver, every time. Bring on the next twenty!"
