The False and the Fair are a Dublin band that were formed in 2013 as a result of a camping trip in the Wicklow mountains, inspired by the sounds of Townes Van Zandt.
Having quickly become a known fixture on the live scene, the "alt-rockers with psychedelic souls" have released music sporadically over the past few years with loose singles, but in the shape of their new EP The Space in Between have produced their most cohesive body of work to date.
The five-track opus shines a light upon the band's folk influences, while infusing the psychedelic sounds of Cormac, Adam and Jacob with Tommy’s folk singing and songwriting chops to create an atmosphere that is distinctively their own.
Having released the lead single from the EP called 'In the Shade of the Mountain' on the 9th of November, The Space in Between has now followed an is out now on digital platforms. The False and the Fair will officially launch the EP tomorrow night (November 18th) with a headline show Upstairs in Whelan's. Tickets priced at €8.50 are available now from the Whelan's website.
