A 13-date tour will see The Game co-headline in Dublin’s 3Arena in November.
Rapper The Game has announced his new Drillmatic tour of the UK and Ireland, opening with a brace of shows in Belfast and Dublin.
For the Dublin show, he will co-headline with Ringsend rap duo Versatile.
The tour opens in Ulster Hall, Belfast on 25th November. The following night, he plays what will be his biggest Irish date yet in 3Arena, sharing the bill with Versatile. The tour takes in 13 dates in all, making it his most ambitious tour in the UK and Ireland yet. Other key dates include the Corn Exchange, Edinburgh and Manchester’s O2 Ritz, before the tour climaxes at the O2 Academy Brixton on 14th December.
Fans can pre-register from 10am on 15th August, with pre-sale tickets going on sale 19th August and general sale 22nd August. The announcement ties in with the release of The Game's new 30-track album Drillmatic: Heart Vs Mind, which was released in Friday 12th August. The album – The Game’s tenth – is released via 100 Ent and Virgin.
From Compton, in Southern Los Angeles, California, The Game emerged as one of the rawest voices on the early-2000s West Coast hip-hop scene, with intense autobiographical narratives and a hungry need to assert his lyrical presence. His success was established with his 2005 studio debut The Documentary, and the rapper has worked tirelessly ever since, releasing a non-stop string of mixtapes, singles and acclaimed albums including 2008’s LAX, 2011’s The R.E.D. Album and 2019's Born 2 Rap.
2022 has seen a string of high-profile singles released, including ‘Eazy' featuring Kanye West and ‘Stupid' featuring Big Sean, with Friday’s release of Drillmatic seeing the Grammy-winner team up with Hit Boy across it’s 30-track duration.
