Louder Than Words is released February 14
Following a busy 2013 of touring Ireland, the UK and Europe, the folk and roots trio are set to release their new album, Louder Than Words in Feb 2014 to a growing international audience.
Louder Than Words brings together some of the intricate components that The Henry Girls’ music is best known for. Three part harmonies sit warmly alongside Joleen’s harp, whilst capturing elements of Irish folk and Americana that evoke shades of Gillian Welch and The Indigo Girls
Since the release of the much-acclaimed December Moon – included in the Huffington Post's Top 10 albums of 2013 and produced by Calum Malcom (Blue Nile, Heidi Talbot) - Karen, Lorna and Joleen have brought their music to myriad new places, absorbing new influences along the way, and are ready to deliver their finest work to date in Louder Than Words.
A musical fusion of the Donegal coastline and the Appalachian mountains - The Henry Girls combine something of our Irish heritage with a more contemporary backdrop; imbuing it with compassion, insight and warmth. It’s an album that invites you inside the world of three sisters from Donegal, who impart their strong folk roots, preserving tradition and at the same time delivering a fresh and finely crafted body of work.
The Henry Girls have rapidly gained a new audience at home and abroad, touring with peers such as Altan and Dervish during 2013 across Europe to set the stage for the release of their new album.
