The High Kings have been featured in the soundtrack for Sinners, released in cinemas on April 18.
The band also began a headline tour across Ireland, Europe, the UK, North America and Australia. They visited Bantry last Friday, and are set to perform in Waterford, Cavan, Newbridge, Carrick-On-Shannon, Athlone, Newry and Arklow beginning on Saturday.
Sinners is currently the #1 movie worldwide, featuring ‘The Rocky Road to Dublin’ and ‘Will Ye Go, Lassie, Go?’ by The High Kings. The soundtrack was composed by Ludwig Göransson, known for his work on films like Oppenheimer, The Mandalorian, Black Panther and Creed. The High Kings’ tracks rank among the four most-streamed songs from the film across all platforms.
“It’s an unbelievable feeling to have a multi-Oscar and Grammy-winning composer invite you to his incredible recording studio in Los Angeles to work with him one-on-one,” said vocalist Darren Holden. “We had such a great time, and it’s a moment that will live with us forever.”
The movie was also the first horror film ever to receive an A rating from CinemaScore. The story follows Michael B. Jordan playing a set of twin brothers, Smoke and Stack, returning to their hometown in Mississippi. Eventually, they realise “an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back.”

“When we heard the tracks in the studio we knew straight away that Ludwig had created something very special,” said guitarist Brian Dunphy. “We are honoured to have our voices on them.”
