With the release of Random Access Memories (10th Anniversary Edition) comes new music, unfinished tracks, and demos from the robot duo Daft Punk, complete with a previously unreleased collaboration with the Strokes' Julian Casablancas and the Voidz on 'Infinity Repeating.'
Ten years after the since-disbanded electronic disco duo Daft Punk (made up of Thomas Bangaltar and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo) first dropped Random Access Memories, they've shared a 10th Anniversary Edition via Columbia Records to commemorate the album's original release.
Included in the reissue are outtakes, tests, and unreleased material like the demo 'Infinity Repeating,' which features a collaboration between the Strokes' frontman Julian Casablancas and the Voidz. Casablancas also leant his musical talents to one other track on the original album, the song 'Instant Crush.'
Alongside the first ever release of the Julian Casablanca + The Voidz collaborative demo 'Infinity Repeating,' comes the release of a music video written and directed by Warren Fu and produced by Partizan Studio and Ryan Reichenfeld.
Executive producers include Angela Foster and Sara Nix. Elissa Nechamkin and Jonah Higaonna were associate producers.
In a three part act rendition of the evolution of man, 'Infinity Repeating' initially begins as a flipbook style animation. From there, Daft Punk's video dances along the fine line of artistic and futuristic development.

As it incorporates popping colours and incites curiosity about the perception of the human form, however, the video also introduces the concept of man becoming machine: transformed into a 3D design, humanity's representational avatar escapes the physical plane to exist in and take on the characteristics of a data-designed world.
Other new material of the 10th Anniversary Edition includes 'GL' (Early Take) featuring Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers and the unfinished 2012 song 'Prime.'
The reissue of Random Access Memories was announced back in February, before news broke of the After Daft: Daft Punk & The Rewiring of 21st Century Culture biopic. With over 60 collaborators, the biopic is set to cover the duo's 28 year long career together.
