The nominations for The Ivors 2025 have been announced – with Irish acts Fontaines D.C. and Orla Gartland both featuring in the prestigious Best Song Musically And Lyrically category.
The original score for the Kneecap film, composed by Michael 'Mickey J' Asante, has also scored a nomination in the Best Original Film Score category.
This year marks the 70th anniversary of the Ivor Novello awards – which remain a major celebration of exceptional achievements in songwriting and screen composing.
The winners are set to be revealed at a ceremony at Grosvenor House in London on Thursday, May 22.
Fontaines D.C.'s 'In The Modern World' and Orla Gartland's 'Mine' are up against tracks by Laura Marling ('Child Of Mine'), RAYE ('Genesis.'), and Lola Young ('Messy'). This is Orla's first ever Ivor Novello nomination.
