The Japanese House's second album In the End It Always Does, is set to come out this summer.
The Japanese House, also known as Amber Bain, has just announced In the End It Always Does, her sophomore album due to release on June 30th via Dirty Hit. She worked on the project with the producer Chloe Kraemer.
Already shared from the indie-pop artist's record is 'Sad To Breathe,' her first single since her single 'Boyhood.' The music video for the track premiered yesterday on YouTube and was directed by Sheila Johansson.
Amber shared the release date on Instagram when she announced the release of 'Sad to Breathe.'
"So happy with this album, I can't wait for you all to vibe..."

"Was such a pleasure to make it, with my friends, lots of them, popping in and out, in the sunshine, in the rain, in the middle of the day, in the middle of the night, hackney wick, always laughing, a million busaba takeaways, beers on the canal at 4, the little Italian restaurant," Amber starts, beginning to describe the memories behind the album.
"Crying a lot in the mornings, walking around trying to think of the words, to put in the songs, to say in real life, coming back inside, the end of a chapter, hundreds of new ideas, joni jones, circling round, again and again, the circle is spinning so fast you can't see it's moving at all."
The Japanese House released her first album Good At Falling in 2019 and her first EP Chewing Cotton Wool back in 2020, which included her popular single 'Dionne.'
Compared to Chewing Cotton Wool, which was a sonic "self portrait" examining her perspective on her gender and how queer bodies are viewed, In the End It Always Does reexamines the English artist's current identity.
It's not the first time she's explored this theme through her music, either. 'Boyhood' focused on growing up as a queer person. However, the greater In the End It Always Does collection won't just focus on the relationship she has with queer identity, but with herself and with others.
