The Jesus and Mary Chain Confirm New Album's Release Date
It’s 18 years since we last hard new material by the Scottish band, but The Jesus and Mary Chain has just confirmed that they will be releasing a new studio album early next year.
The follow up to their last album back in 1998 will be entitled ‘Damage and Joy’ and released on March 24.
Former Creation record boss, Alan McGee, who is now with their record label Warner, has praised the new album. He recently said: “They've made another album! It's a big deal! It's unbelievable. They've just made an album and I've signed them to Warners! It's kinda enormous.”
But fans don’t have to wait until next year to hear what the band’s new material sounds like. They’ve first new single ‘Amputation’ was aired yesterday for the first time on BBC 6 radio station and it’s already up on YouTube, which you can listen to here:
