The Killers formed in 2003 and have gone on to become one of the biggest bands in the world.
The Killers have announced their return to Ireland next summer for two shows, with an appearance at Belfast's Boucher Road Playing Fields on September 1 and a headline set at Electric Picnic festival on September 3.
The Nevada rock outfit head back to Belfast for the first time since 2019 for the very special show. The last time they were in Dublin was for their Malahide Castle gigs on June 14th and 15th, 2022.
The band released new albums in 2020 and 2021 respectively; Imploding The Mirage and Pressure Machine. This summer, they played a UK stadium tour before a US arena run with Johnny Marr.
"Despite releasing seven albums since forming The Killers in 2022, the rock act’s latest LP reverts back to soft, sincere Americana storytelling for their latest offering, which came from an era when Flowers was suddenly faced with silence," Hot Press' review of Pressure Machine reads.
"Beautiful, conceptualised lyrics and soundbites from small town folk permeate Pressure Machine, referencing opioid addiction, divorce, poverty and religion. Writing from the perspective of Nephi’s residents, from a young bride destined never to leave the town, to hunters and workers from the automotive industry; each song tells a unique tale. Paired with ‘80s soundscapes, the album embodies Bruce Springsteen’s gift for capturing the essence of a place in all its flaws."
The Vegas band have also announced a headline set at Reading & Leeds on the weekend of August 25-27, joining Lewis Capaldi, Foals, Billie Eilish, Sam Fender and Imagine Dragons. Edinburgh’s Royal Highland Centre Showgrounds on August 29 is the second UK show before they head over to Irish shores.
