The Killers are set to headline Belfast Vital 2023 at the Boucher Road Playing Fields on 1st September, featuring special guest, Johnny Marr. This announcement comes with news of their 2023 Electric Picnic slot. The rock band are returning to Belfast for the first time since 2019, with tickets to go on sale from 9am on Monday, 12th December via ticktmaster.ie. Three customer presale begins at 9am on Saturday 10th 2022.
The Las Vegas band, having formed in 2003, are now one of the biggest rock bands in the world. Having received countless awards for their music and contribution to the industry including multiple Grammy nominations, American Music Award nominations, MTV Video Music Awards and NME Awards, the group have sold over 25 million albums, and in doing so, earned a record-breaking seven consecutive UK Number 1 albums. Belfast Vital will be another notch on the belt of the band who have headlined some of the world’s biggest festivals including Glastonbury, Coachella and Lollapalooza including their own stadium tours.
Their debut album, Hot Fuss earned them global acclaim, containing the now iconic dance anthems 'Mr Brightside', 'Somebody Told Me', along with 'All These Things I’ve Done.' This album saw them tour for two years straight, racking up more than 400 shows whilst on the road, where they eventually returned to Las Vegas to begin work on their sophomore record, Sam’s Town. Their third studio album gave creation to their huge single, 'Human' in 2008.

In more recent years, The Killers released their sixth studio album in 2020, https://www.hotpress.com/music/album-review-the-killers-imploding-the-mirage-22825978, quickly followed by Pressure Machine in 2021. In 2022, the iconic rock band embarked on their longest sold out tour to date, playing to audiences in stadiums across the UK, America and beyond.
