British Indie rock group The Last Dinner Party have been crowned with the 2024 Birt Award for Rising Star. The accolade is given to artists each year tipped for success.
The five-piece have been making waves since 2021. Before releasing any music they supported The Rolling Stones at their 2022 Hyde Park gig, got signed to a major label and eventually put out their debut single ‘Nothing Matters’ in July earlier this year.
The band have earned acclaim for their theatrical live shows and massive, symphonic sound – produced by James ford, known for his work with Arctic Monkeys.

Last month, The Last Dinner party announced their debut album Prelude To Ecstasy - out 2 February 2024 via Island Records.
“Ecstasy is a pendulum which swings between the extremes of human emotion, from the ecstasy of passion to the sublimity of pain, and it is this concept which binds our album together,” said the band on the project.
