The musician will feature in the upcoming April issue of Hot Press.
The Libertines' Peter Doherty has shared a new single 'The Day The Baron Died'.
Following 'Felt Better Alive' and 'Calvados', 'The Day The Baron Died' is the third track unveiled from the English rocker's upcoming album Felt Better Alive, set for release on Friday, May 16 via Strap Originals.
"I always thought it was a weird jazz number, with a silly, catchy little melody," said Doherty about his latest song. "It’s a kind of homage to [John Lennon’s] 'Instant Karma', not the lyrics but the weird off time drum fill in the chorus.
"And I’m not gonna explain what the song’s about because I’m working on a follow up!" he added.
'The Day The Baron Died' has been released alongside a Gothic music video shot at the guitarist's home and on a cliffside in Étretat, Normandy.

Doherty is set to embark on a UK and European tour starting in April, although no Irish date has been announced yet. The Smiths' drummer Mike Joyce will feature as special guest in a selection of shows.
Felt Better Alive is available to pre-order alongside a 7" vinyl single featuring two exclusive non-album songs: 'Océan' and 'Honky Noir'.
The LP marks Doherty's first solo full-length release since 2016's Hamburg Demonstrations. His latest album with The Libertines, 2024's All Quiet on the Eastern Esplanade, topped charts in the UK and Scotland, and reached the top 10 in several countries worldwide.
