In the run-up to their highly anticipated performance at St Anne's Park in Dublin in May, The Lumineers have announced a brand new album, Automatic – out on February 14, via Dualtone.
To coincide with the news, the chart-topping band have also released the project's lead single, 'Same Old Song', alongside an accompanying music video.
“This album marks 20 years of songwriting between Jeremiah and me,” says The Lumineers' Wesley Schultz. “The album explores some of the absurdities of the modern world, like the increasingly blurry line between what’s real and what’s not, and the variety of ways we numb ourselves while trying to combat both boredom and overstimulation.”
Automatic – the band's fifth studio album, and their first collection of new music in over three years – finds Jeremiah Fraites and Wesley Schultz expanding their sonic horizons, with what's being described as "their most raw and personal collection thus far."
“People who think they have our number,” says Jeremiah, “they’ll be surprised.”

The album also marks the first time that band are credited as co-producers, alongside David Baron and Simone Felice. Together, they recorded Automatic in less than a month, crafting a sound that Schultz describes as “very much of this era.”
The Lumineers will share Automatic with audiences as part of their busy 2025 live schedule – including gigs across Europe and the UK. North American dates are also expected to be announced soon.
