The Mean Old World Tour will include performances at Baggot Street Blues Festival, Arthur’s Blues & Jazz Club, Howth Roots & Blues Festival, and more.
The Mary Stokes Band have announced a series of shows set to take place this summer in Ireland.
The Mean Old World Tour, named after the Little Walter song that has been a staple of The Mary Stokes Band's set since their early days, will see the musicians returning to the hard-hitting Chicago Blues roots of their beginnings.
The run of shows will include full band gigs at the Star Bar as part of Baggot Street Blues Festival on May 4, at Arthur’s Blues & Jazz Club on May 16, at Whelan’s Dublin Blues, Roots and Brass Festival on August 2, and at Howth Roots & Blues Festival on August 10,
Mary Stokes and Brian Palm will guest with Gráinne Duffy at Rory Gallagher International Tribute Festival Ballyshannon on May 30 and 31, and with Whole Lotta Zepp at Dublin's 3Olympia Theatre on September 20.
Palm will guest with The Trouble Pilgrims at The Grand Social on April 27.

Led by vocalist Mary Stokes and harmonica player Brian Palm, the Mary Stokes Band also features guitarist Sarah Michelle and a powerhouse rhythm section.
A fixture on the Irish blues scene for over 25 years, the Mary Stokes Band have toured extensively across Ireland, Europe and North America, performing with the likes of John Lee Hooker, BB King, Bo Diddley, Fats Domino, and Taj Mahal.
After releasing their latest album, Let ‘Er Roll, in 2023, the band announced they were working on a new LP last year. Further details about their upcoming project are yet to be revealed.
