The Mary Wallopers announce biggest ever UK tour

The Mary Wallopers have announced details of their biggest UK live shows to date. The band will hit the road for a massive tour in March 2025.

Tickets will be available here at 9.30am on Friday 28th June.

The Dundalk folk group have also released a brand new EP ahead of a summer festival season that includes massive shows at Glstonbury, Isle of Wight, TRNSMT and Latitude.

After returning home from sold-out tours of the UK, North America and Australia and recent appearances on Later...with Jools Holland, Radio 2's Jo Whiley Show  and Channel 4's Sunday Brunch, the band decided to record an EP with regular producer David Noonan in Dublin on a rare weekend off. Home Boys Home includes the title track [a song made famous in 1964 yb the Dubliners who recorded it for their first album] as well as versions of the trad song 'Bonnie Ship The Diamond' and a cover of the Pogues classic 'The Broad Majestic Shannon'.

"We decided to go into the studio for a couple of days and record these songs that we have been performing live the last while so anyone who can’t get to our festival gigs will have something to listen to," the band say of the Home Boys Home EP. "People have been asking for a release of Home Boys Home for a while and it was a good opportunity to record it. We wanted to pay tribute to Shane MacGowan by doing a version of Broad Majestic Shannon and have thrown in Bonny Ship the Diamond for good measure. Hope you enjoy!”
