The Menzingers hit Whelan's, Dublin in January
They play the Limelight 2, Belfast the very next night.
Anthemic, scrappy rock band The Menzingers are Ireland bound in the New Year for two gigs in quick succession.
They released their fifth album After The Party earlier this year, so we can expect some fresh cuts along with back-catalogue selections.
Singer-guitarist Greg Barnett says “in the past our records have tended to come from some kind of struggle, like from being broke or going through hard times. This record really came from enjoying life and enjoying the friendships we’ve formed with each other
— we had so much fun throughout the whole writing and recording process, and I think you can really feel that in the songs.”
They're playing Whelan's, Dublin on January 28 and then the Limelight 2, Belfast on January 29.
So if you're feeling adventurous, why not catch both?
Prepare for January with the title track from their latest:
