Blindness was recorded in Los Angeles with the Grammy award-winning producer John Congleton.
The Murder Capital have announced new album Blindness and shared track 'Words Lost Meaning'.
"There’s what’s in front of us, in our immediate field of vision, There are the things we can touch, the love we can feel, said lead singer James McGovern, "Then there’s everything else. Blindness is the warped belief. The behind us. The secluded. Love at a distance. Faith in denial. Distorted patriotism. The fading face of moments in the rear view. Blindness brings it all into focus,” said lead singer James McGovern.
The album follows acclaimed LPs Gigi’s Recovery in 2023 and their debut album When I Have Fears in 2019.
Blindness was recorded in Los Angeles with the Grammy award winning producer John Congleton, whom they previously worked with on Gigi’s Recovery, released in January of last year. The album came together quickly with the producer prioritising urgency and freshness, according to John McGovern.

“He wanted us not to start demo-ing or layering any tracks, just phone-record everything. That way, by the time we got to the studio, no song was suffocated by what it needed to be, it was about what the song could become,” explained John.
Having supported Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds across Europe this year, the band will depart on a headline tour of their own in The UK, Australia, New Zealand and Europe.
