The Murder Capital have announced a gig in Dublin’s Iveagh Garden for July 19, 2025, including special guests Soft Play and Mary In The Junkyard.
The show will coincide with the release of their upcoming album Blindness, set to come out next year. The eleven-songs LP was recorded in a Los Angeles studio in just three weeks, with frontman James McGovern describing the process by saying:
“In writing the songs, our feeling was: piss or get off the pot. We wanted to needle-drop straight into the feeling of these tunes.”
Dublin. Our biggest headline show to date.

The album follows the Dublin band’s acclaimed LPs Gigi’s Recovery in 2023, which was rated a 9/10 by Hot Press last year, as well as their debut album When I Have Fears in 2019.
The Iveagh Garden gig’s special guests Soft Play are a British punk duo made up of Laurie Vincent and Isaac Holman. Following a several years long hiatus, the band, formerly known as SLAVES, have reignited their partnership under a new moniker.
Other guests also include the London-based trio Mary In The Junkyard, who released their debut EP This Old House earlier this year.
Tickets for The Murder Capital, with Special Guests Soft Play and Mary In The Junkyard, live at The Iveagh Gardens, sell from €39.00 and will be available on December 19 here.
