The gig announcement follows news of The Mysterines upcoming album Afraid Of Tomorrows.
On Friday, October 18, The Mysterines will play a show at Whelan’s in Dublin. The group is also releasing their new album Afraid Of Tomorrows via Fiction Records on June 7.
The Mysterines have shared the lead single from the album. ‘Stray’ premiered on BBC Radio 1 as Clara Amfo’s Hottest Record. Afraid Of Tomorrows follows their debut album Reeling which came out in March 2022.
The Mysterines consists of Lia Metcalfe on vocals and guitar, George Favager on bass guitar, Callum Thompson on guitar and backing vocals and Paul Crilly on drums and backing vocals.
Metcalfe comments that the new album “is a mirror where you find you’re nothing more than a formless being, one made from celestial constellations - of traumas, of the old and new, mistakes, addiction, fear and happiness, loneliness, but ultimately a desire for life and the fight to keep living. It’s a collage of what’s been lost and of love unbounded.”
