For its second year, Metronome returns to the National Concert Hall to host a collaborative series of emergent music, new projects and new artists this Spring.
The National Concert Hall has announced the next series of Metronome concerts, presenting the latest chapter of Irish music with new projects and emergent artists. Working in concert with Homebeat, Matthew Nolan Music and Gash Collective, Metronome sees an eclectic selection of performances appear in the NCH’s Studio space.
The second Metronome series commences on Saturday 27 January when Gash Collective introduce a performance featuring Connemara experimental musician Olan Monk, vocal artist Baptist Goth and multi-instrumentalist Jasmine Wood.
Homebeat will present three shows at this year’s Metronome: Belfast electronic music producer and DJ Phil Kieran and vocalist-harpist Méabh McKenna on Saturday 17 February, psych-rock musician Elaine Malone and composer PF Chaney on Thursday 21 March and on Thursday 23 May Sudden Wells (a performance project of composer-producer Michael Gallen) and modernist musician Róis take to The Studio stage.

Matthew Nolan Music will showcase Cork indie five-piece I Dreamed I Dream and the next new low at the National Concert Hall on Wednesday 28 February and will present the cross-genre talents of James Makin and singer-songwriter Stewart Agnew on Thursday 9 May.
