The Irish trad-punk band will also be playing a set at Electric Picnic’s Salty Dog Stage on August 18.
Laois trad-punk group The Outcast Crew have unveiled their sophomore album Rovin’ Again on Warner Chappell’s label Elbroar, available now on all platforms.
Following their acclaimed 2021 debut, Myths and Yarns, Rovin’ Again features 12 original tracks produced and mixed by lead singer Brian O’Mahoney. The record incorporates Americana and blues soundscapes to the band’s punk and folk signature style.
O’Mahoney explains: “We approached this album with a more organic process, really just the band jamming together. We’d gather, throw around some ideas, create an arrangement, and record it on our phones. Those raw recordings shaped the final tracks.
“We recorded the drums at Golden Egg Studios in Laois, known for its excellent live room acoustics, and completed the remaining instruments and vocals in our home studio.”
