Exhibiting a range of influences that includes U2, The Doors, Tom Petty and Steve Harley, the Skins are big on choruses and hooks that a week after the gig I’m still humming.
A good portion of tonight’s crowd have journeyed up from Portlaoise to see these local heroes take the capital by storm, and The Perfect Skins don’t let them down. The set kicks off with a blistering version of ‘Best Day’, one of the standouts from recent long-player A Reconstructed View.
The band have been together for over ten years, and it shows with the likes of ‘Lay Down’, ‘Cloud Nine’ and current single ‘Lost Control’ tighter than a duck’s nether regions.
