The Pogues have announced their first UK headline tour in 13 years, celebrating 40 years of their iconic 1985 album Run Sodomy & the Lash.
It follows the announcement of their Red Roses For Me anniversary show at the 3Arena in Dublin on December 17, which will include a slew of special guests including Tom Coll of Fontaines D.C., Goat Girl’s Holly Mullineaux, Alfie’s Fiachra Meek, Bad Seeds Jim Sclavunos and George Vjestica, Pretender James Walbourne, and Jordan O’Leary from The Scratch.
The tour will feature original members James Fearnley, Jem Finer, and Spider Stacy along with yet-to-be-announced special guests, marking their first UK appearance since 2014 when they performed at London’s Hyde Park with The Libertines.

It will kick off in Leeds’ O2 Academy on May 1 and wrap up in Newcastle's O2 City Hall on May 8, with stops in Birmingham, London, Glasgow and Manchester along the way.

The band are set to play Rum Sodomy & the Lash in full, including b sides, extended version tracks plus a special selection of their most beloved material. The record is ranked among Rolling Stone’s Best 500 Albums of All Time and featured in tastemaker books such as as 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die.
Commenting on the announcement, The Pogues say: “After the uproarious bash which was the 40th anniversary of our first record, Red Roses for Me, in 2024, we wanted to do it again, but with Rum Sodomy & the Lash.”
