Following a triumphant sold-out performance at Manchester’s Castlefield Bowl at the weekend, The Saw Doctors have announced a UK tour this November with shows in London, Liverpool, Leeds and Wolverhampton.
On 31st October, the Irish rockers head to Hammersmith, for a pummelling show at London’s Eventim Apollo. A week later, on 9th November, The Saw Doctors will perform at the Liverpool Olympia. Then, on 14th November, they’ll take the stage at Leeds’ O2 Academy before rounding out the tour at the University of Wolverhampton at The Halls on 15th November.
Tickets go on sale this Friday, 12th July, at 10 AM via Ticketmaster and GigsandTours.
For their UK stint, the eight-piece outfit will welcome back founding member, Pearse Doherty, on bass, vocals, penny whistle and wooden flute. The band's core songwriting duo, Davy Carton (lead vocals) and Leo Moran (electric guitar), will be joined by longtime members Rickie O’Neill (drums), Kieran Duddy (keyboards and accordion) and Tommy Carton (backing vocals). Rounding out the impressive lineup are acclaimed musicians Anthony Thistlethwaite (saxophone, formerly of The Waterboys) and Noelie McDonnell (guitar and backing vocals, The Whileaways).
The Saw Doctors’ expansive summer tour encompasses a total of fifteen shows across UK, Ireland and North America, including headline outdoor concerts at New York City’s Central Park (17 July), Glasgow’s Kelvingrove Park (7 August) and the Beautiful Days festival in Devon (16 August) with stops in Boston and Chicago and two sold out hometown gigs in Galway (27&28 July).

The tour announcement comes hot on the heels of the band’s recently released single, ‘Man in the Moon’, a sun-soaked anthem for the summer written by Moran, Carton, and Padraig Stevens.
