The Scratch have announced a new vinyl pressing of their 2020 debut album Couldn’t Give a Rats to mark its five-year anniversary.
Sharing the news on social media, the band wrote: "Delighted to announce the official second pressing of our first album ‘Couldn’t Give a Rats’ 💙
"This beautiful heavyweight, double gatefold LP has been updated for 2025 with a lovely Aqua Blue A/B smash disk, double sided photo insert and a free lavender air freshener so you’re not stinkin’ the car up!"
In honour of the anniversary, Hot Press revisited their original review, calling Couldn't Give a Rats "one of the boldest Irish debuts of recent memory".
Last month, the four-piece hinted at the repressing with a post celebrating the album’s birthday: "Our debut album turns 5 today!
"Couldn’t Give a Rats was supposed to be released under very different circumstances. When the pandemic hit, we threw whatever plan we had out the window. It’s mad to think back on the state of the world at that time but we know getting these songs into your ears gave us all a big lift in a difficult time. We hope it did for you guys too.
"The original vinyl pressing was limited to just 500 copies. They sold out almost straight away and we never actually repressed it due to the crazy back log at the time.
"We think it’s time for a repress would you agree??"
