Recent Choice Music Prize nominees told fans not to watch this year's Eurovision ahead of tonight's semi-final.
The Dublin four piece The Scratch have urged fans to boycott this year's Eurovision contest, a message which was shared by Apartheid Free Music on Instagram.
The group opened their message saying "We're The Scratch and we are here to tell you or at least strongly suggest that you don't watch Eurovision".
The band suggested that those boycotting the Eurovision should instead attend or watch the Shine On: Alternative Eurovision events.
Describing the Eurovision as "crap anyway", The Scratch described the Shine On Alternative Eurovision events as: "a far better version going on".
With a fundraising goal of €100,000, the Alternative Eurovision is raising money for human rights, advocacy and aid organisations in Palestine: UNWRA, Psychosocial Counselling Centre for Women (PSCCW), Al Haq and Al Mezan and direct support to artists.
