The Script have claimed their sixth UK number one record with their Greatest Hits album after topping the Irish charts last week.
Tales from the Script: Greatest Hits dropped on October 1st and climbed to the top of the Official UK Albums Chart with 23,000 chart sales. Roughly 20,000 of these sales were physical.
It’s the Irish band’s sixth UK chart topping album after The Script (2008), Science & Faith (2010), No Sound Without Silence (2014), Freedom Child (2017) and Sunsets & Full Moons (2019).
They join esteemed company in Arctic Monkeys, Genesis, Pink Floyd, Kings Of Leon, Radiohead, Blur and Muse who all have six UK chart topping records.
When talking about the number 1 album, The Script frontman Danny O’Donoghue said:

“We couldn’t have done this without The Script family. Thank you so much - this really, really means a lot because this is for our greatest hits, it’s like a lifetime of work. Hopefully we’ll see you on the road soon,” he told OfficialCharts.Com.
The group are set to head out on tour next year in support of their compilation album. The trio have added two extra dates to the run of shows slated to take place in Ireland. This includes an additional date in the SSE Arena Belfast and another in the 3Arena.
Ella Henderson and Becky Hill will join the band on the road for the worldwide tour. Tickets for The Script's shows are available here.
The Script are on the cover of the latest issue of Hot Press as Danny O'Donoghue sat down for an interview.
