The album is the first release from the band since the departure of longtime guitarist Jeff Schroeder
The Smashing Pumpkins have announced their new album, Aghori Mhori Mei, set to be released on August 2.
The release will mark the 13th studio album from the Chicago natives since their 1991 debut LP, Gish, and comes only a year after the 33 track Atum.
In a statement posted on social media, the band's co-founder James Iha said “It feels normal to be onstage playing with the original members of the band. It’s like riding a bike.”

Their discography has seen widespread critical acclaim, with 1997’s Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness earning a Grammy nomination for both Album of the Year, and Best Alternative Album.
Gearing up to support Green Day on their Saviours tour at the end of the month, the band has just returned from a tour of Europe and the UK, which saw a performance at Dublin’s 3Arena.
