"For those whose light now burns bright in heaven," reads the promotional poster for the 'When A Light Goes Out' launch event.
Pioneering ska band The Specials have announced their next single, 'When A Light Goes Out', set to release on Sunday, March 23.
Written by the band's founding members Lynval Golding and Mark Adams, alongside later member Nikolaj Torp Larsen, the track will be launched at the Two-Tone Museum in Coventry, England.
The launch event, and the single itself, is a tribute to the influential Two-Tone Records' deceased artists and musicians; Terry Hall, John Bradbury, Ranking Roger, Rico Rodrigeuz, Saxa, Arthur 'Gaps' Hendrickson and Dave Jordan.
Running from 12.00pm to 4.00pm, it will feature an exhibition dedicated to the artists, a meet-and-greet with Golding, a DJ set and a Q&A session.
The price of admission for the now sold-out event will be donated to the Specialized Project, and Tonic (Music For Mental Health) charities.

The Specials were founded in Coventry, 1977, by Terry Hall, Neville Staple, Jerry Dammers, Lynval Golding, Roddy Radiation, Horace Panter, John Bradbury, Dick Cuthell and Rico Rodriguez.
With varying lineups through the 70s and 80s, the group released a string of singles landing in the top ten, hitting number one on UK charts with 'Too Much Too Young.'
Briefly dissolving in the mid-80s, The Specials reunited in 1993 and continued to record music until the death of Terry Hall in December, 2022.
