The likes of The Stone Roses, Calvin Harris, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Disclosure, The 1975, LCD Soundsystem, Major Lazer, The Last Shadow Puppets and many more illuminated Scotland over the weekend.
T In The Park remains one of the most successful festivals on the other side of the Irish sea. Over three days, some of the biggest bands currently on tour gathered in Strathallan Castle in Perthshire – where the festival was held for the first time in 2015.
Perthshire is north of both Glasgow and Edinburgh and inland from Dundee. There is always a strong Scottish presence on the line-up and this year was no exception with Biffy Clyro, Travis and Bay City rollers among those who took to the stage. AND SO ON...
Fans were treated to returning Scottish heroes Frightened Rabbit – the Borders band playing their fourth T gig – won’t forget the show for a long while. “For a band in Scotland especially, playing T In The Park can totally change your trajectory,” Scott Hutchison enthused backstage. “And having been going for over 20 years, it’s internationally known. And now you have this beautiful site… incredible.”

Rising star Alessia Cara brought her soulful voice to Friday's Main Stage. “I’ve always wanted to come to Scotland, and now I’ve done it twice this summer," said the beaming Canadian singer.

“It was so much fun today, amazing. Everyone was just so energetic, and so loud, and singing all the words. It’s just awesome to see that. I’d always heard the Scottish crowds were really welcoming and supportive, and they really were. I had a really good time."
However, the defining set definitely belonged to the Mancunian legends The Stone Roses. The reformed foursome played T In The Park for the second time, and serenaded the Scottish faithful with a bagpiper and a blast of the unofficial anthem 'Scotland The Brave'. The opening salvo of 'I Wanna Be Adored', 'Elephant Stone', 'Sally Cinnamon' and 'Sugar Spun Sister', were enough to guarantee an iconic performance.
