Folk rock duo The Swell Season have announced tour dates that will see them perform across North America during the summer next year.

The tour is set to begin in Virginia on July 11, continuing in a number of cities throughout the US, including Atlanta, Philadelphia, Detroit, and Chicago. The duo will also perform for one night in Toronto.

Comprising Irish musician Glen Hansard and Czech singer and pianist Markéta Irglová, The Swell Season have been performing together since their breakthrough in 2007 as a result of the success of the film Once. In 2023, the pair released their first new music together in over a decade. Before that, they celebrated the 15th anniversary of the Oscar-winning movie with a 15th anniversary tour.

The duo last performed in Ireland at Vicar Street in July of last year.
