This event brings together three or more artists on stage for an old style music show, where artists share and collaborate on music, stories and harmonies, blurring the lines between the artist’s individuals pieces. The Very Round Robin show, in true Turning Pirate style, also encourages an atmosphere where the lines between audience and stage are just as blurred, giving the audience a unique opportunity to see an intimate display of talents and experience among musical peers.
For this particular event we are excited to be able to present the show in the exclusive and historically restored Claregalway Castle. Castle of Song will collaborate with Turning Pirate and The Very Round Robin to set the tone in a very special space for what is to be an incredible experience for all who attend.

Ronan O’Snodaigh

Ronan O’Snodaigh is a musician and a poet from Dublin. He was a founding member of Irish band Kíla as well as a successful solo artist. To date he has released 4 solo albums, been a large part of Mic Christopher’s Skylarking as well as composing music for various projects including wildlife documentaries. Ronan continues to excite and wow audience globally with his shows ranging from wild and energetic to gentle and full of intimacy.

Roesy
2017 Promises to be a big year for acclaimed singer songwriter, Roesy as he wraps up an Australian tour before returning home to Ireland in February to a nationwide run of
shows.
Over the past 20 years Roesy as shared the stage with international figures such as Bert Jansch, Ron Sexsmith, Paul Brady, Billy Bragg, John Martyn, Joan Armatrading, Donovan, Shane McGowan and celebrated author Paul Durcan.
His melodies have the presence to seem familiar while remaining distinctly his own; impossible to ignore or dismiss. The deceptive simplicity of his lyrical themes reveal their latent complexities upon repeated listening.

Ye Vagabonds

As they prepare to record their debut album, few bands can claim accomplishments as broad or
boast the level of interest from their musical peers as Ye Vagabonds before they had so much as a recorded track.
Brothers Diarmuid and Brían spent their early years making music around their hometown of Carlow before moving to Dublin city and quickly becoming a staple and much talked about duo on the live scene in Ireland.
Before long the brothers caught the eye of film maker Myles O’Reilly (Arbutus Yarns) who put together some short videos of their music. These videos won the admiration of musicians and industry folk alike, here at home and further abroad.
Ye Vagabonds were soon invited to play Other Voices, along with numerous festivals and shows throughout Ireland and the UK.
After a chance meeting at their Electric Picnic gig, Ye Vagabonds most recently came to the attention of Glen Hansard who, after seeing them play, immediately invited the pair to join him on
his recent European tour.
