Parker has also announced a charity concert for Stand Up To Cancer and The National Brain Appeal at London's Royal Albert Hall on September 20.
Max George has said that his The Wanted bandmate Tom Parker is "doing amazingly well" following his brain tumour diagnosis.
As the host of Friday Night Hits, George appeared on Good Morning Britain. During the interview, he shared an update on Parker.
"Of course, [it was] a massive shock, but honestly he is doing amazingly well," said George about Parker. "Tom is a different breed of animal and he is tackling it with everything and his wife Kelsey [Hardwick]."
Parker has set up a concert at Royal Albert Hall in London called Inside My Head for Stand Up To Cancer and The National Brain Appeal, and George hopes that he will be "front row there watching" at the show on September 20.
In October 2020, Parker announced that he had been diagnosed with a stage four glioblastoma in his brain. He was already undergoing chemotherapy and treatment at the time of the announcement, and three weeks ago he announced on Instagram that there had been a slight reduction in the size of the tumour.

Both George and Parker are members of The Wanted, a British-Irish boyband that formed in 2009 but announced an indefinite hiatus in 2014. The band also includes Siva Kaneswaran, Nathan Sykes, and Jay McGuiness.
