Alongside the album announcement, The Waterboys released their first single from the project, 'The Liar' accompanied by a haunting music video.
Legendary folk group The Waterboys waste no time delivering another new record All Souls Hill after blazing a trail with critically acclaimed Good Luck Seeker in 2020. The new LP is set to be released April 22, 2022 on Cooking Vinyl.
Supporting their new album announcement, the band has released their first track, 'The Liar'. The groove-laden track takes a powerful, descriptive swipe at Trump and the lies and deceit that infest those in power.
“'The Liar' is a comment on recent and still-current events, and both the song and video speak for themselves.” says frontman Mike Scott.
The band worked with satirical collagist Cold War Steve for 'The Liar' music video, taking the dark and eerie message to the next level through haunting images that leave nothing to the imagination.
All Souls Hill, announced off the back of the band's recent sold out UK tour and latest box set 'The Magnificent Seven: The Waterboys' Fisherman's Blues/ Room to Roam Band 1989-1990', is nine tracks full of Waterboys brilliance.
"All Souls Hill is mysterious, otherworldly, tune-banging and emotional.” comments Mike. “I made it with Waterboys old and new and my co-producer, brilliant sonic guru Simon Dine. Its nine songs tell stories, explore dreamscapes, and cast a cold but hopeful eye on the human drama."

The legendary band's last record, their 14th studio album Good Luck, Seeker, was released last year to widespread acclaim from fans and critics alike, with many claiming it to be the band's greatest record.
