The five-disc release will feature Irish musicians Sharon Shannon and Noel Bridgeman who sadly passed away earlier this year.
Legendary folk group The Waterboys have revealed details of an upcoming 5 CD collection, The Magnificent Seven: Fisherman’s Blues / Room To Roam band, 1989-1990.
Coming December 3, the band will release the work chronicling the time shortly after the release of their seminal album The Fisherman's Blues when the band's core lineup was joined by Irish musicians Sharon Shannon and Noel Bridgeman as well as Colin Blakely to become "The Magnificent Seven".
Although this resulted in the album Room to Roam, these songs were only a small amount of those taken from over a year of playing together, which will be documented in this new release.
It will be made up of live recordings, demos and covers, culminating in the final disc of the record Room to Roam.
The deluxe edition will also include a DVD, A Band For All Seasons (Home Movies).
It features "bootleg films of the band’s 1989 performances at Glastonbury Festival and in Milan, Mike Scott's home movies of the 1990 Spiddal House recordings, a short 2010 documentary extract telling the history of Spiddal House and a 2012 Spiddal Reunion documentary of a concert where Mike, Steve and Anto performed for a local charity," according to a press release.

A standalone hardback book of the same name will also be released on the same day, including a 50,000-word narrative by vocalist Mike Scott telling the story of The Waterboys’ time as a seven-piece.
Noel 'Nollaig’ Bridgeman sadly passed away earlier this year, leaving a reputation as one of Ireland's greatest ever drummers.
Hot Press Editor Niall Stokes touched on his legacy at the time, writing that "he was an inspiration for so many, through all the musical changes and adventures of the past 50 years. Noel will be sadly missed by everyone who worked with him on the scene. But his work and his music will live on."
The Magnificent Seven: Fisherman’s Blues/Room To Roam band, 1989-90 from The Waterboys, will be released on December 3.
