The weekend is filled with music, comedy, craic, whiskey tastings, deadly DJs and more- and it’s all free.
David Kitt performs on Friday 29th June. Kitt is fresh from releasing his first solo record for nine years, during which he felt “the most free I’ve felt making a record since my debut Small Moments”. The last number of years have seen him touring and recording as a member of Tindersticks, producing other musicians’ work, exploring techno, disco, and house under the name New Jackson, remixing everyone from Shit Robot to The XX, and producing intriguing DJ sets and radio shows.
Joining David as a special guest is guitar player and songwriter, Cian Nugent. Expect trans-suburban night blues, traditional music, 1960s rock and roll and jazz.
Saturday, 30th June brings even more entertainment. In the Venue Bar there’ll be Banter, with Jim Carroll and Paul Noonan from Bell X1. The lead singer will be talking about 20 years of life and music with Bell X1. On the First Floor, browse trinkets and treats at the Flea Market - plus there’ll be an acoustic stage set up on the Terrace for the afternoon, with some great acts coming to perform.
Later that night, the party continues in The Workman’s Club with Booka Brass, one of Ireland’s greatest live acts. In late 2012, the group of students were drawn together by their classical background and desire to experiment musically. Since then, their trajectory has been constantly on the rise, from the success of their critically acclaimed debut EP BBB, a nationwide tour and live performances with Irish music heavyweights including The Frames, Lisa Hannigan, Jape and James Vincent McMorrow.
Over in The Liquor Rooms on Saturday night, Eddy Temple-Morris will be spinning some serious beats while the expert bartenders whip up some cocktails.

On Sunday, 1 July, Fred Cooke will deliver his unique brand of comedy through his musical prowess and wild crafted physical story telling. He has worked on The Tommy Tiernan Show and been a regular on the RTÉ Show, The Fear. Fred has frequently been invited to perform at the largest and most successful festivals both here and abroad, including the Cat Laughs Comedy Festival, the Vodafone Comedy Carnival, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Tampere Comedy Festival in Finland, London Irish Comedy Festival, Kells Hay Festival, Mayo Summer Festival, The Trim Satire Festival.
Across the weekend, Bison Bar & BBQ will be hosting some whiskey tastings. Soak up the sunshine out on the terrace and try a sample from the Bulleit Barrel Bar. There will also be tasters of BLT (Bulleit, Lemon, Tonic).
Bison will be serving up some top-notch BBQ fare; brisket, ribs and much more, smoked to perfection. They also have over 150 whiskies - sign up for a fun and interesting tasting session with Bison’s knowledgeable barkeeps. If burgers are more your style, WOWBURGER are going to rustle up some burgers on the Terrace.
3 days of deadly music, laughter, food, burgers, and BBQ, all for free.
