The Wolfe Tones have announced their biggest outdoor show yet, due to take place at Limerick's TUS Gaelic Grounds on Saturday, August 26th 2023.
The home of the All Ireland Champions will host one of Ireland’s biggest folk group this summer. An all-star supporting line-up, headlined by The Wolfe Tones, are set to take to the stage later this year, with a huge selection of food and drink to accompany the tunes.
First seeing the light of day during the so-called ballad boom of the early 1960s, The Wolfe Tones started out on a career which has taken them to the heights of not just Irish, but international entertainment. In 1966, the band set off to play America and released their third album. In 1968, The Wolfe Tones were voted Ireland’s second most popular outfit. Since 1968, the group have released 16 albums, all of which have been met with acclaim.
Noel Nagle, Tommy Byrne and Brian Warfield are now celebrating an unbelievable 58 illustrious years on the road. Having launched their own whiskey, going viral on TikTok by amassing over 800,000 likes, topped the BBC Best song in the world poll with ‘A Nation Once Again’, The Wolfe Tones are showing no sign of slowing down.
