The Wolfe Tones have announced a special 60^th anniversary concert at Dublin’s 3 Arena of Saturday 12 October 2024.

From their humble beginnings in Dublin, the legendary trad group have enthralled generations of Irish music fans across the word for decades.

“We’re no boyband anymore... but funnily enough, we’ve never lost the young generations over the years,” said Brian Warfield in an recent interview with Hot Press’ Lucy O’Toole.

Their impact with the youth was made evident with their record breaking slot at Electric Picnic’s Electric Arena this past weekend.

“I was delighted when we were asked to do it, because we’ve seen it go on for years and years,” added Warfield. “It’s a very popular platform for people, so it was like, ‘We’ve made it! We’ve made it to Electric Picnic!’

Commenting on their diamond anniversary, Warfield said -“The years go by so fast, it’s unbelievable, we’re very privileged to have been able to do this for 60 years.” Read the full interview here.
