The wallowing in grebo nostalgia takes place next March!
The Wonder Stuff celebrate their 30th birthday - suddenly we feel old! - with a March 10, 2016 show in the Dublin Academy. Tickets priced €25 go on sale on Friday.
“I guess it’s quite a remarkable feat, we wrote a bunch of songs, some of them almost 30 years ago, and people still wanna hear them," mainman Miles Hunt reflects. "You can’t reasonably ask for more can you?"
Hunt has also penned The Wonder Stuff Diaries 86-89, a fascinating insight into the band's origins. Eventually going from cult favourites to one of the biggest festival acts around (we still have fond memories of them killing Semple Stadium at Feile '91), they'll be airing all their classics including 'Size Of A Cow', 'Welcome To The Cheap Seats', 'Don't Let Me Down Gently', 'Unbearable' and their number one version of 'Dizzy', which co-starred Vic Reeves.
