Irish garage rock band The Zen Arcade are set to release their third single, 'Alone In Monochrome', next Friday, November 12th, with their own label Dental Records.
'Alone In Monochrome' explores the realms of reverb and the depths of despair on this paean to pigments and lack thereof, with lyrics such as, "I left a world that was technicolor, for a plane of existence that was your shade duller."
This single release aligns with the band's upcoming Ireland and UK tour, beginning in December and continuing throughout Spring of 2022.
Formed in late 2019 following the dissolution of The Strypes, five-piece The Zen Arcade has had quite a successful year, with the band producing their own Livestream show, which was broadcast simultaneously across 8 venues in the UK, releasing two number one singles, and appearing on the Today Show.
The Cavan outfit is really doing it all, as this year they also announced their own headline Irish tour, made appearances at Left Of The Dial Festival in Rotterdam and London Calling in Amsterdam, and stuck to their monthly zine and podcast release schedule.

The band has extensive radio support across Ireland, the UK, the USA, and European radio stations. With original and prawn cocktail flavoured songs, their debut single 'Don't Say A Word' released in October 2020 gained a number 1 spot on the iTunes Singles Chart on the day of release and entered the National Singles Chart at No.12.
In April, the band performed an exclusive set for the Hot Press Lockdown Sessions' Y&E Series which treated fans to covers of John Leyton's 1961 hit single 'Johnny Remember Me', The Housemartins' 'The Mighty Ship', and The Rubs' 'Wrong/Right Girl'.
'Alone In Monochrome' will be released on Friday, November 12th. View The Zen Arcade's upcoming tour dates below, and purchase tickets here.
