Thin Lizzy are celebrating the 50th anniversary of Vagabonds Of The Western World with a global listening event at 7pm on the 14 December via the Thin Lizzy YouTube channel.
Widely considered as their breakthrough album, the LP features hits such as ‘Whiskey In The Jar’ and ‘The Rocker’ – which also happens to be the last song the band performed at their final show in 1983.
The listening event will feature artist Jim Fitzpatrick, creator of many classic Thin Lizzy sleeves and the world-famous Che Guevara poster from the 1970’s, mix engineer Richard Whittaker, Brush Shiels from Irish band Skid Row, Pete Holdai from The Radiators From Space, the broadcaster Roddie Cleere and renowned writer and Prog Magazine editor, Jerry Ewing.
Guitarist Eric Bell will join the fan “chat along” in the YouTube page’s comments. Fans will be able to chat along live during the Q&A or watch back at a later date.

To celebrate the album’s golden anniversary, the band released a Super Deluxe edition, featuring rarities, radio sessions, unreleased music, rare photos, extensive sleeve notes by Mark Blake, and memorabilia. The reissue suite also includes the album remixed in Dolby Atmos, a first for any Thin Lizzy record.
