Tracks include the magnetic jam of 'Slow Blues,' the swinging resplendence of 'Mama Nature Said,' an easygoing B-side to 'The Rocker' titled 'Here I Go Again' and the bittersweet comfort of 'A Song For While I'm Away.'
“The new versions came about whilst I was mixing the Vagabonds album in Atmos & 5.1," says Richard Whittaker, who mixed and produced the EP. "I noticed that the analogue multi-tracks for these four songs contained additional unused instrumentation which worked really nicely together. I presented some rough mix ideas an everyone loved them; they show a different side to Thin Lizzy.”
At their bare bones, the tracks become something of their own, full of renewed soundscapes and refreshingly new elements.
Teasing out the production, these musical elements seamlessly entwine, begetting the creation of captivating mix ideas that garnered widespread appreciation. The result is a rejuvenating perspective, unveiling a hitherto veiled aspect of Thin Lizzy and frontman Phil Lynott's artistic vision.
