The initiative is set to tour Ireland throughout the year, providing a platform for emerging singer-songwriters and musicians.
Following a hugely successful launch back in November, the first 2023 dates of Three's City Stages initiative have been announced – with events taking place this Saturday, January 14, at Three's Cruises Street store in Limerick, and on Saturday, January 28, at the Waterford Blackfriars store.
The custom-built stages for the upcoming events will each host a line-up of some of Ireland’s most talented up-and-coming musicians from 12-3pm, with special guest performers also joining at select locations.
The line-up for the Limerick event features a thrillingly eclectic array of emerging artists, including Uisce Jones, Reylta, Dáwna, Smith OJ and Abe Soare.

The campaign is designed to support the next generation of artists – who are currently performing on city streets, or in small clubs and venues – to progress their careers to the biggest stages in the country.
The initiative will tour Ireland throughout the year, providing a platform for buskers and emerging musicians to showcase to new audiences and promote their music, with opportunities to take their performance from the smallest stages to some of Ireland’s biggest, by opening for major artists at selected shows at 3Arena and 3Olympia. Applications to perform are now open at 3.ie/CityStages
Those chosen to perform at City Stages will be given their own dedicated performance slot and recorded content of their performance – while every musician who applies will be offered access to a series of mentoring masterclasses led by a panel of Irish music industry professionals. The mentorship will provide the burgeoning musicians with information on everything they need to help progress their music careers, from advice on management and booking live shows to increasing their fanbase and pitching their music to media.
The launch of City Stages in late 2022 saw four emerging musicians – Korey Power, Mel Maryns, Conor Dawson and Excel – entertain crowds outside Three’s Cruises Street store in Limerick, followed by a surprise acoustic performance from Wild Youth.
The initiative is presented by Three, in association with Hot Press, AIM Ireland and Sony Music Ireland. It's also being supported by its ambassadors, including broadcaster Tracy Clifford.
